SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts amends Worldscale flat rate baskets for some West of Suez dirty tanker assessments

Following Worldscale Association circular number 17 for 2015, Platts will make further amendments to Worldscale flat rates baskets used for $/mt calculations in a number of dirty West of Suez tanker assessments, effective May 1, 2015.

These changes will be made in conjunction with amendments to routes listed on the subscriber titled "Platts amends Worldscale flat rate baskets for a number of dirty tanker assessments", published by Platts on April 16.

According to the Worldscale circular, flat rates that involve the port of Sullom Voe were changed "In light of new information regarding increased Port Tariffs".

With these amendments, the new flat rates involving Sullom Voe are obtained by adding $0.14 to all flat rates involving this port.

For dirty tanker assessments, Platts uses averages of the corresponding baskets of Worldscale flat rates as a basis for $/mt calculations for every route.
