Platts proposes changes to ICE NGX Alberta Market price monthly natural gas index

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to change the publication date of the ICE NGX Alberta Market Price monthly natural gas index from the first business day of the month to the second business day of the month, effective Nov. 1, 2024.

The change will align trade and publishing dates.

For example, if the first business day of the month coincides with the first calendar day of the month, the Alberta Market Price index is not settled until the ICE NGX AB-NIT Yesterday index is settled on that day.

Accordingly, Platts would also remove the ICE NGX Alberta Market Price index from the Canadian GasPrice Reporter PDF that is published on the first business day of the month.

Platts also proposes to discontinue publishing the high and low prices of the ICE NGX Alberta Market Price monthly natural gas index effective Nov. 4, 2024.

The high and low prices for symbol ENNGA00 would be removed from fixed pages PGN 1221 and AGP1221.

Platts would still publish the index price and volume under that same symbol.
