S&P Global Platts has changed the name of the LNG DES West India assessment (Symbol: AARXS00), to Platts West India Marker, or WIM, effective April 16, 2020, on the back of market feedback to align the DES West India naming convention to that of other Platts LNG assessments.
The other definitions of Platts WIM remain identical to the DES West India assessment as stated in the LNG methodology document, which can be found at: http://plts.co/EZVk30qqEcI
This follows on from a decision published March 18 and available here: https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/031820-platts-to-change-name-of-lng-des-west-india-assessment-to-west-india-marker-wim
Furthermore, Platts will start publishing intraday values that reflect Platts assessment of WIM values at 3 pm Singapore time, from April 16, 2020.
Platts will review bid and offer price levels in the Platts Market on Close assessment process for reasonability, relative to the published intraday values.
The WIM assessment is published in Platts LNG Daily, as well as on the Platts Natural Gas Alert (PGN) page 1042 and Platts LNG Alert (LNG) page 830.
