Following a period of industry consultation and feedback, Platts has launched a new Singapore-Australia Clean Medium Range tanker assessment.
Over 90% of the Singapore-Australia MR fixtures tracked over the last year have been concluded basis 35,000 mt, according to fixture data tracked by Platts.
Separately, Platts will discontinue the current Singapore-Australia 30,000 mt assessment from January 2, 2019.
Platts has also proposed to amend the Singapore-Australia clean MR tanker freight rates used in the calculation of its CFR Australia assessments for gasoline, gasoil and jet fuel effective January 2, 2019 in a subscriber note published on February 26, 2018 (https://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/21414916).
