Following a Worldscale Association update for the port of Sullom Voe, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has amended the Worldscale flat rate basket used in the $/mt calculation for its UKC-to-UKC and UKC-to-Med 80 kt dirty tanker freight assessment, effective April 3, 2023.
Following this amendment, the new average flat rates for the UKC-UKC and UKC-Med 80 kt route are $9.33/mt and $17.95/mt. This note further modifies the dirty tanker flat rate for the UKC-UKC 80,000 mt route and supersedes the decision note published on March 24 : https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/032423-platts-to-amend-dirty-tanker-basket-flat-rate-for-ukc-ukc-80000-mt-assessment-from-april-3

Dirty UKC-Med 80kt $/mt TDACB00 TDACB03
The affected assessments appear in Platts Dirty Tankerwire; on Platts Shipping Alert pages 1430, 1431 and Platts Tanker Alert pages 1960,1961; as well as in the Platts price database under the codes above.
