Platts changes Dirty PG-Red Sea 80kt Worldscale tanker freight assessment to lump sum April 1

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has changed the dirty Aframax Persian Gulf to Red Sea 80kt Worldscale tanker freight assessment to a lump sum assessment effective April 1.

Platts understands that the freight rate on the Aframax Persian Gulf-Red Sea route is predominantly concluded on a lumpsum basis. Also, a review of fixtures concluded on this route over the last two years has shown that nearly all fixtures have been executed basis a lump-sum rate.
