About Commodity Insights
01 Apr 2022 | 15:57 UTC
S&P Global Commodity Insights has discontinued publishing its Platts assessments for Brazil's Roncador crude, effective April 1, 2022, because of declining exports and little to no spot-market activity.
Roncador production has been trending lower, recently falling below 150,000 b/d, according to Brazil's National Petroleum Agency. That production, down from a peak near 400,000 b/d, is split across heavy (about 20 API) and medium (about 28 API) sub-grades of Roncador.
The discontinuation affects the following symbols and their associated monthly averages:
The prices will no longer appear on Platts Global Alert page 280 and 281 and in Latin Wire, Crude Oil Marketwire, Oilgram Price Report, and Platts Dimensions Pro.
