S&P Global Commodity Insights has commenced publishing the official selling price set by Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) for Hout crude oil from April 2022.
KPC publishes the OSP for the crude grade bound for Asia as a differential to the monthly average of the Platts Dubai and DME Oman prices on a forward-month basis.
In April 2022, S&P Global will publish Hout OSP differential as announced by KPC for cargoes loading in May 2022. S&P Global will also publish Hout's outright OSP by adding the differential as set by KPC to the monthly average of the Platts Dubai and DME Oman prices for the month of loading.
The Hout OSP will be published alongside the existing OSPs of KPCs other crude oil grades on Platts Global Alert page 1060.
The medium, sour grade, which is produced in the neutral zone shared between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, has an API of 32 and sulfur content of 2%, according to a publicly available crude assay.
