Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched the GIA natural gas indices locations and weightings for April-October 2023.
The locations, location weightings, and region weightings are as follows:
GIA Northeast Region Locations and Location Weightings:
Columbia Gas, Appalachia 26.82%
Texas Eastern, M-2, receipts 24.23%
Transco, Leidy Line Receipts 19.16%
Transco, Zone 5 15.09%
Tennessee, zone 4-300 leg 14.70%
GIA Midwest Region Locations and Location Weightings:
REX, zone 3 delivered 31.69%
Dawn, Ontario 19.35%
Northern Border, Ventura 18.53%
Chicago Citygates 16.05%
Alliance, into interstates 14.38%
GIA South Region Locations and Location Weightings:
El Paso, Permian Basin 27.08%
Waha 24.22%
Transco, zone 4 22.01%
Texas Gas, zone 1 13.70%
Transco, zone 3 12.99%
GIA West Region Locations and Location Weightings:
TCPL Alberta, AECO-C 40.00%
SoCal Gas, city-gate 15.99%
SoCal Gas 15.96%
PG&E city-gate 15.96%
PG&E, Malin 12.09%
GIA Region Weightings:
GIA Northeast 35.56%
GIA South 22.95%
GIA Midwest 11.81%
GIA West 29.68%
These weightings took effect on trade date March 31, 2023, for flow April 1-3, 2023.
