S&P Global Platts would like to clarify the value added tax and duties reflected in its China domestic assessments in Yuan/mt.
All of Platts China domestic assessments for petrochemicals, including benzene, polyethylene, PVC, acetic acid, vinyl acetate monomer and caustic soda, include the prevailing VAT. The polypropylene raffia China domestic assessment on ex-works basis also includes the prevailing VAT, and does not include import duties.
For the import parity equivalent of Platts benzene East China domestic assessments, these prices reflect the prevailing VAT and import duty of 2%.
These assessments are published on Platts Petrochemical Alert pages 965, 282, 206, 235, 436, 322, 274, 266, 270, 262, 174, 458, 460 and 534, Asian Petrochemicalscan, Polymerscan and Solventswire publications under the price database codes below:
