Platts amends Worldscale rate for Ceyhan-Augusta in Azeri Light FOB Ceyhan crude assessments

Effective April 1, 2020, S&P Global Platts will amend the Worldscale rate for the Ceyhan-Augusta route in its Azeri Light FOB Ceyhan crude assessments.

The amendment follows the release of Worldscale Association circular number 4, which revised the $/mt flat rates for all cargoes loading or discharging at the Turkish port of Ceyhan.

Worldscale Association said it had updated the flat rates to and from the port of Ceyhan "in light of recent information regarding a significant increase to port tariffs at BOTAS (Ceyhan) Terminal".

With this amendment, the new flat rate for voyages involving Ceyhan can be obtained by adding 23 cents/mt to the previous rate.

This brings the new flat rate used for Ceyhan-Augusta to $7.50/mt.
