Platts clarifies that most of its Chinese domestic petrochemical and plastics assessments on ex-works, ex-tank and ex-warehouse bases, reflect deliveries up to 10 days forward from the day of publication.
This clarification specifically refers to the assessments of PVC, PTA and caustic soda, the descriptions of which have previously been omitted or incorrectly stated in the specifications guide.
These assessments are published in Polymerscan, Asian Petrochemicalscan and on Platts Petrochemical Alert on the following pages and under the following codes:
Description
Frequency
PTA China domestic
Ethylene-based PVC China domestic
In addition to prompt 0-10 days shipments, for benzene and styrene only, Platts publishes assessments for shipments within specific named months while Acetic Acid is assessed for deliveries up to 15 days.
For a full description, please refer to the Asia-Pacific petrochemicals specification guide: http://plts.co/X1yT30rBzQZ
