Following a continued review of additives reflected in its FOB Singapore gasoil assessments, Platts proposes to begin reflecting a new additive, which has been used in Singapore and accepted in Australia, a key regional demand center for gasoil.
This additive is lubricity improver PC 32 manufactured by Total.
Platts understands that Total PC 32 is acceptable for use in major 10 ppm consumer Australia, and has been added to spot gasoil cargoes sold in the region historically.
Platts proposes to add this additive to the list of recognized additives reflected in its assessment process.
For the full list of previously identified additives, please see http://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/27047375
