Platts amends Worldscale rate for Sullom Voe-Rotterdam in CIF Dated Brent, FAF assessments

Effective April 1, 2020, S&P Global Platts will amend the Worldscale rate for the Sullom Voe-Rotterdam freight route used in its CIF Rotterdam Brent Blend, CIF Rotterdam Dated Brent assessments as well as its Sullom Voe-Rotterdam Freight Adjustment Factor (FAF).

The amendment follows the release of Worldscale Association circular number 16 on March 20, which revised the $/mt flat rates for all cargoes loading or discharging at the UK port of Sullom Voe.

Worldscale Association said it was updating the flat rates to and from the port of Sullom Voe "in light of recent information regarding Towage and Consolidated Charge increases".

With this amendment, the new flat rate for voyages involving Sullom Voe can be obtained by adding 10 cents/mt.

This brings the new flat rate used for Sullom Voe-Rotterdam to $8.55/mt.

Platts has also published a subscriber note detailing the effect of the changes on freight assessments, which will be available on www.spglobal.com/platts.
