SUBSCRIBER NOTE: S&P Global Platts proposes to discontinue European nickel, zinc assessments

S&P Global Platts is proposing to discontinue two monthly price assessments for the European zinc market and two weekly prices from the European and Russian nickel markets from July 6, 2021, due to a lack of liquidity and changes in product flow and buying patterns.

Details of the assessments proposed for discontinuation are as follows:

The last assessment day for the monthly zinc assessments would be Wednesday, June 17, 2021, and the last day for the weekly nickel assessments would be Friday, July 2, 2021.

The nickel and zinc assessments are published in Platts Metals Daily, on pages 0415 and 0416, respectively, of Platts Metals Alert and Platts Non Ferrous Metals Alert, in the Platts Market Center, and in the Platts price database under the codes listed above.
