S&P Global Platts proposes to begin publishing the official selling price for Nigeria's Egina crude grade effective May 1, 2019.
Platts will publish this OSP as both a differential and an outright value on a monthly basis, as received from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corp.
Production of Egina began in late December 2018, with the first cargoes available for export from January 2019. The crude, which is eventually expected to become one of Nigeria's largest export grades, is heavy and sweet in quality with an API of 27.3 degrees and sulfur content of 0.165%. It is also low acid, with a TAN of 0.24.
