Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will change the frequency of its Middle East-East China and Middle East-India, 10,000-12,000 mt liquid chemical freight assessments to weekly, effective April 5, 2024, in alignment with other easy chemicals freight assessments.
These assessments are currently published on Wednesdays and Fridays. Under the changes, Platts will publish these assessments only on Fridays or the last working day of the week.
The change will affect the following assessments:
| Code | Monthly average | Route | Volume |
| ABMCA00 | ABMCA03 | Middle East to China | 10,000-12,000 mt |
| ABMIA00 | ABMIA03 | Middle East to India | 10,000-12,000 mt |
These assessments are published in the Platts Petrochemical Alert fixed pages 337, 214, 340, 215 and 643, Asian Petrochemicalscan and Platts Connect.
The change was proposed by Platts in a subscriber note published on Feb. 23, 2024, and be found here: https://plattsconnect.spglobal.com/web/index.html#platts/newsArticle?articleID=88202186-19f4-49fd-b5db-08eafd2c7999.
