Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched daily polycarbonate price assessments in Asia and Europe, effective March 1.
The new assessments complement the existing Platts assessments for polycarbonate feedstocks phenol, acetone and bisphenol-A.
The assessments were first proposed Jan. 10 in Europe and Asia.
The decision to assess polycarbonate was take Jan. 31.
The new assessments are published on business days in line with regional publication schedules and based on the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the Platts Market on Close assessment process.
All market information reported to Platts may be considered and will be published in real-time, including firm bids and offers, trades, and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process. Pricing information for material with other specifications and terms may be normalized accordingly.
