Platts proposes to discontinue certain EMEA ferrous assessments, change publishing day of some other assessments

S&P Global Platts proposes to discontinue certain EMEA ferrous assessments from June 1, 2021, due to lack of liquidity in the market.

Additionally, Platts also proposes to change the publication day of certain ferrous assessments to harmonize the publishing schedule with related assessments.

Weekly assessments proposed for discontinuation:

STPRA00 Plate CIF Antwerp

AAXFB04 Rebar FOB South Europe

Monthly assessments proposed for discontinuation:

SB01146 HRC CFR Persian Gulf Port Import

SB01186 Plate EXW Turkey

SB01160 Medium Sections Europe Dom Prod Delivered

SB01166 Merchant Bar Domestic Europe

SB01200 Rebar Mid East Dom Prod Ex-Works

SB01179 Plate FOB CIS Export

SB01255 Welded pipe FOB Turkey Export

Platts also proposes to change the publication day of the following weekly prices from Friday to Wednesday:

AAXJG00 Rebar CPT Moscow

AAXJI00 HRC CPT Moscow

STCBE00 Rebar EXW Northwest Europe

The assessments are published on a monthly/weekly basis and can be found in the Steel Business Briefing, Platts Market Center, in the Platts price database and Platts Metals Alerts.
