Platts proposes to launch daily Europe recycled PET light blue flake spot assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to launch daily delivered, duty paid Southern Europe recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET) light blue flakes spot assessment, effective May 1.

The proposed assessment would compliment Platts existing R-PET assessments.

The new DDP Southern Europe, basis Iberia, assessment would be published in Euro/mt and would take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process each day at 4:30 pm London time.

Pricing information with terms, locations, and specifications different from the above standard may be considered for assessment purposes, subject to normalization.

The existing weekly European R-PET commentary and rationale, published Wednesdays, would include information on the new assessment, which would also appear on Platts Connect, Platts Petrochemical Alert fixed pages 503, 441, 574, Platts Market Center and Polymerscan
