Platts proposes to change timestamp of its LNG Gulf Coast Marker (GCM)

S&P Global Platts is proposing to change the assessment timestamp of the LNG Gulf Coast Marker (GCM) to 4:30pm London time from May 16, 2020. Platts GCM™ assessment is currently published each US business day and reflects market values prevailing at the close of US markets, at 1:30 pm Houston time.

The proposal seeks to align the assessment of Platts GCM™ with the close of European markets, which are becoming an increasingly significant outlet for US-sourced spot volumes, and follows initial market feedback supportive of such a move.

At the same time Platts is proposing to move the assessments publishing schedule to follow Platts UK publishing calendar.
