From March 1, 2017 S&P Global Platts will change the methodology for its daily dealer molybdenum oxide price assessment to include Tianjin, China, bonded warehouse transactional information.
With increasing volumes of business reported in east Asia, this inclusion is in response to market research and feedback from market participants. The change follows a proposal note on the subject published January 5, 2017.
Platts now includes in-warehouse Tianjin transactional information in US dollars meeting the assessment specification.
Existing locations for reported prices and volumes include in-warehouse Rotterdam, CIF Japan, in-warehouse Busan, CIF India and delivered USA.
Please submit any feedback, comments or questions about this change to Jitendra Gill jitendra.gill@spglobal.com; Andy Blamey andy.blamey@spglobal.com; HongMei Li hongmei.li@spglobal.com and pricemethodology@spglobal.com.
