Following a continued review of additives reflected in its FOB Singapore gasoil assessments, Platts will add four new additives with effect from March 1, 2016, which are chemically identical to some of the additives that are already reflected in its FOB Singapore gasoil assessments.
These additives are cetane improver 2-Ethyl Hexyl Nitrate from Kutch Chemical, cetane improver EC5308A, conductivity improver EC5580A and lubricity improver EC5719A manufactured by Nalco Champion.
Kutch Chemical's 2-Ethyl Hexyl Nitrate is chemically identical to the 2-Ethyl Hexyl Nitrate additives by other manufacturers already reflected in our FOB Singapore gasoil assessments. Nalco's cetane improver EC5308A is chemically the same as 2-Ethyl Hexyl Nitrate. Conductivity improver EC5580A is a re-brand of Stadis 425 that is already reflected in the FOB Singapore gasoil assessments, and lubricity improver EC5719A is found to be acceptable for use for major 10 ppm consumer Australia.
Platts will add these additives to the list of recognized additives reflected in its assessment process. The inclusion of these four new additives will be effective March 1, 2016.
