Platts proposes to launch new DDGS CFR Southeast Asia assessment April 1, 2024

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to launch a new daily assessment for Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles in Southeast Asia, April 1, 2024.

The new calculated assessment would be basis CFR Saigon port in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, using Platts assessment for DDGS delivered in Chicago (ACDDG00) and an internal assessment of transloading and freight costs, based on routing through US West Coast ports of Long Beach, Los Angeles, California and the Pacific Northwest.

It would represent export quality specifications that match the Platts DDGS delivered Chicago (ACDDG00) assessment loaded in 40-foot shipping containers calculated delivered to Southeast Asian ports six weeks forward. Quality details for the Platts DDGS delivered Chicago (ACDDG00) assessment are listed in the Platts Specifications Guide for Global Biofuels.

Platts seeks feedback on all parameters of this proposed assessment, including the proposed discharge of Saigon port, to which other indications would be normalized.
