Platts clarifies that its CIF Mediterranean 0.1% gasoil cargo assessments reflect transactions where the cargo meets contractual specifications in each of the ship's tanks.
Methods by which the seller can deliver such cargo include: loading homogeneous material at the load port; ensuring that, if different gasoil streams are loaded, that they are blended to meet the contractual specification during loading; the seller may also choose to circulate the cargo en route so that all of the ship's tanks meet the specification. All associated costs should be borne by the seller.
