Platts removes high, low price data points for Japan, Asia low-carbon aluminum assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has removed the price data published as high and low price data points for its Japan and Asia low-carbon aluminum premium price assessments and corresponding all-in calculations based on underlying spot and quarterly contract prices.

The high and low ranges were introduced in error. Effective Feb. 3, the assessments are published only as single close values.

Values published as close values since the price assessments were launched Jan. 2 will remain unchanged.

Specifications for the assessments are unchanged.

The following assessments are affected:

Platts Japan-LCAP and Asia-LCAP assessments and related all-in prices are published in Metals Daily and Metals Weekly, on Platts Metals Alert on fixed pages PMA/MTL0107, PMA/MTL0108, PMA/MTL0419 and PMA/MTL0650, and in the Platts price database.
