S&P Global Platts is proposing to discontinue two China domestic stainless steel price assessments with effect from May 4, 2022.
The two prices are the HR304 Ex-warehouse Foshan assessment (SB01136) and the CR430 Ex-warehouse Foshan assessment (SB01074).
Platts other Asia stainless steel assessments, CR304 Ex-warehouse Foshan and CR304 CFR East Asia, would not be affected.
The proposal arises from changes to market conditions, which have led to a decline in the volume and importance of trade in the two types of stainless steel.
The assessments appear in Platts Steel Price Report, SBB Daily Briefing, Platts Price Analyzer and Platts Market Data category SQ.
Please invites feedback on this proposal to pl_asia_steel@spglobal.com and pricegroup@platts.com by Feb. 21.
For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing.
