Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to change the dirty Aframax Persian Gulf to Red Sea 80kt Worldscale tanker freight assessment to a lump sum assessment effective April 1, 2024.
Platts understands that the freight rate on the Aframax Persian Gulf-Red route is predominantly concluded on a lump sum basis. Also, a review of fixtures concluded on this route over the last two years has shown that nearly all fixtures have been executed basis a lump sum rate.
The affected assessment is as follows:
Assessment | Worldscale | $/mt | Mavg Worldscale | Mavg $mt |
Dirty Persian Gulf- Red Sea 80kt | PFAJH10 | TDAAI00 | PFAJH03 | DAAI03 |
