Effective Feb. 1, 2021, S&P Global Platts has discontinued 2019 RIN values for Ethanol RINs (D6), Biomass based diesel RINs (D4), Cellulosic Biofuel RINs (D3) and Advanced Biofuel RINs (D5).
The affected assessments are:
The discontinuation of the 2019 RIN values results in Year 1 rolling code moving to the 2020 RIN assessments and the Year 2 rolling code moving to the 2021 RIN assessments.
Ethanol RIN (D6) rolling code RINCY01 reflects the 2020 D6 RIN and the rolling code RINCY02 reflects the 2021 D6 RIN.
Biodiesel RIN (D4) rolling code BDRCY01 reflects the 2020 D4 RIN and the rolling code BDRCY02 reflects the 2021 D4 RIN.
Cellulosic Biofuel RIN (D3) rolling code CBRCY01 reflects the 2020 and the rolling code CBRCY02 reflects the 2021 D3 RIN.
Advanced Biofuel RIN (D5) rolling code ABRCY01 reflects the 2020 D5 RIN and the rolling code ABRCY02 reflects the 2021 D5 RIN.
From January-July, Platts will publish 2020 and 2021 RIN and RVO values under corresponding calendar-year and rolling codes.
Platts also confirms that, in conjunction with the discontinuation of the 2019 RIN assessments, Platts has also discontinued the 2019 Renewable Volume Obligations calculation, under the code RVOY019.
