Platts to launch daily assessments for polycarbonate Europe and Asia March 1

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch new delivered duty paid (DDP) Northwest Europe and cost and freight (CFR) China polycarbonate daily price assessments, effective March 1, 2024.

The new assessments will complement the existing Platts assessments for polycarbonate feedstocks phenol, acetone and bisphenol-A.

The assessments were first proposed Jan. 10 in Europe and Asia.

The new assessments will be published on business days in line with regional publication schedules and based on the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the Market on Close assessment process.

All market information reported to Platts may be considered and will be published in real-time, including firm bids and offers, trades, and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process. Pricing information for material with other specifications and terms may be normalized accordingly.
