Platts to include broader data contributions for European Industrial Fasteners Institute Wire Rod Change Index

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is to widen the pool of data contributions for the European Industrial Fasteners Institute Wire Rod Change Index, effective Feb. 1.

The decision to consider data contributions from a wider pool of contributors was communicated on April 1, 2022, in a subscriber note available on the Platts website.

Effective Feb. 1, Platts will consider data from German fastener association Deutscher Schraubenverband e.V., Spanish fastener association ASEFI, Italian fastener association UPIVEB, as well as other individual fastener companies through the European Industrial Fasteners Institute.

The index data is currently provided by German fastener association Deutscher Schraubenverband e.V.

The index captures the average change in prices paid for the material month on month.

The index has the associated data code TS01032, is published on a monthly basis, and can be found in the Platts price database.
