Platts to launch new Tennessee, zone 1 monthly natural gas index

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has decided to add a new Tennessee, zone 1 (IGBHI03) monthly natural gas index.

Platts currently publishes a daily index for Tennessee, zone 1 and will keep the methodology unchanged for the monthly market.

The methodology for Tennessee, zone 1, will be as follows: Tennessee, zone 1 (daily and monthly market) Deliveries into Tennessee Gas Pipeline 100 Leg between Natchitoches, Louisiana, and Portland, Tennessee.

The index will become effective for trade date Feb. 23, the first trading day of March bidweek.
