Platts proposes to launch Nylon-6, engineering grade Nylon-66 daily assessments in Asia, US

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to launch Nylon-6, (chemically known as Polyamide-6) and Nylon-66 (chemically known as Polyamide-66) assessments across Asia and the US, effective April 1.

Details of the proposed Nylon-66 assessments are as follows:

FOB China Loading 20-40 days forward 100-300 mt $/mt Engineering grade resin, with a viscosity of 2.4-2.7 g/ml
Ex-works US Southeast Loading 10-30 days forward 20-24 mt USD/lb Engineering grade resin, with a viscosity of 2.33-2.67 g/ml, melting temperature at 262°C

* "Resin" and "chips" are terminology used interchangeably.

Details of the proposed Nylon-6 assessments are as follows:

Ex-works US Southeast Loading 10-30 days forward 20-24 mt USD/lb Resin with a viscosity of 2.65-2.7 g/ml, melting temperature at 220°C
