Platts discontinues publication of Nigeria's Agu crude OSP

S&P Global Platts will discontinue publishing the official selling price (OSP) for Nigeria's Agu crude, effective from the release of the February OSPs.

This follows an announcement from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in the January OSP release that Okwuibome Blend was being introduced as a result of the co-mingling of Okwuibome and Agu.

Platts will continue to publish the OSP for Okwuibome Blend on Platts Global Alert page 1065 as both a differential to the monthly average of Dated Brent and an outright value on a monthly basis as received from NNPC.

Platts typically receives NNPC OSP information between the 16th and 26th day of the month, applicable for cargoes loading in the following calendar month.

The following assessment codes will be discontinued and will no longer appear on PGA1065.
