S&P Global Platts has discontinued the publication of bunker fuel prices posted by Taiwan’s CPC Corp. for MF-80 and MF-180 grades at Hualien and Suao, and MF-380 grade at Hualien, Suao, Keelung and Taichung, effective January 2.
The discontinuation follows a statement from CPC Corp. December 19, 2019, that the company will stop supplying these high sulfur bunker fuel grades at these ports from January 1, 2020, to focus on meeting rising demand for low sulfur marine fuels.
Platts has discontinued publication of the following prices from January 2.
MF-80 MF-180 MF-380
Hualien, Suao CB8BC00 CB1AM00 CB3AL00
Keelung CB3AM00
Taichung CB3AP00
Platts will continue to publish bunker prices posted by CPC at other ports and for other grades. The posted prices are published in Platts Bunkerwire and on Platts Global Alert page 2860.
