02 Jan 2014 | 04:52 UTC — London
Effective January 2, 2014, Platts has moved the market close for all European and UK electricity day-ahead assessments, including day-ahead plus assessments (day-ahead +1, +2, +3, +4), to 11:00 am London time.
The change of timestamp, from midday London, is to better align Platts day-ahead assessments with existing trading practice and upcoming market coupling arrangements.
Platts continues to publish the day-ahead assessments after 4:30 pm London time on European Power Alert, in Platts market data and in European Power Daily along with all other power periods and product assessments.
Platts weekend and week-ahead assessments, reflecting weekend power prices and whole week periods, continue to be assessed at the close of business 4:30 pm London time on each weekday including Fridays.
