Platts to launch Toluene/Solvent MX CFR China LC 90 assessments

Platts will launch from January 18, 2010 assessments for Toluene and Solvent MX on a CFR China basis, with the credit terms specified as LC 90 days.

These assessments will be in addition to the current Toluene and Solvent MX assessments on a CFR China basis that reflect LC 0-30 as payment terms.

The new assessment will be accompanied with the following symbols, which have been created in dispatch category HF.

These codes represent daily assessment of Toluene CFR China LC 90 days, weekly average of Toluene CFR China LC 90 days, the weekly assessment for Solvent MX CFR China LC 90 days and monthly averages of both.

The daily toluene assessment will be published on PCA page 218, the weekly toluene average will be published on PCA page 413, the weekly assessment for solvent MX will be published on PCA page 416.

The monthly averages for both products will appear on PCA page 449.

Launch date is scheduled for January 18, 2010.
