Platts to create new dry freight market data categories and move assessments

On December 3, 2014 Platts will be creating three new dry freight Market Data categories and as a result we will be moving our dry freight assessments out of their current Market Data category and into two thermal coal and metals dry freight new categories respectively. The three new categories created will be:

CRY: Thermal Coal Dry Freight MRY: Metals Dry Freight GRY: Grains Dry Freight

Platts metals and thermal coal dry freight assessments currently sit within 4 market data categories but will move to the new categories as follows:

Existing category New dry freight category MC (Metallurgical Coal) MRY MM (Major Metals) MRY SI (Iron Ore) MRY CI (Thermal Coal) CRY

Based on their current subscription, subscribers will begin to have access to the new Dry Freight category as outlined in the table above.
