Platts to launch new European styrene contract price

Platts to launch three individual contract price settlements for Northwest European styrene.

Platts currently publishes the NWE styrene monomer monthly contract FD NWE, which is based on an average of three individual contracts settlements.

Due to the recent divergence in the loading/delivery basis in these contracts Platts will publish all three contracts individually, namely FD NWE, FOB Rotterdam and FOB Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp.

These will appear on PCA page 338, PCA page 605, and in Europe and Americas Petrochemical Scan.

Launch date is scheduled for October 3, 2011.
