Platts confirms that it will standardize the conversion factors used for its global bunker fuel assessments with effect from July 1, 2013. As announced in a subscriber note first published on November 9, 2012, Platts will define 6.35 as the factor for converting 180 CST and 380 CST bunker fuel assessments between metric tons and barrels. Platts will also define 7.45 as the factor for converting marine diesel and marine gasoil bunker fuel assessments between metric tons and barrels.
