June 9 changes to the weekly US EIA/DOE Petroleum Status Report

The US Energy Information Administration, a division of the US Department of Energy, has announced significant changes to their weekly Petroleum Status Report. This report is published at 10:30am US Eastern time each Wednesday, and the changes will take effect with the report to be published June 9, 2010. In response to the report changes, Platts has created new symbols and adjusted the descriptions for existing ones in the following dispatch categories: * AO Statistics: EIA/API PADD 1 * AF Statistics: EIA/API PADD 4 * AT Statistics: EIA/API PADD 2 * AI Statistics: EIA/API PADD 5 * AH Statistics: EIA/API PADD 3 * AS Statistics: EIA/API US/Reg Totals

A few notes regarding the new/revised EIA symbols: * The format and content for Table 1 in the report will change, and the current Table 11 will be replaced by a new Table 9. Symbol descriptions will now indicate the source table - 'EIA 1' or 'EIA 9'. * Symbols for data from the current reports which will not be published after June 9 are, or soon will be, discontinued - see the 2nd tab in the spreadsheet. The descriptions for them now indicate the table ('EIA 11')where they currently appear. * The unit of measure for all EIA symbols is either thousands of barrels per day (TBD) or millions of barrels (MBB). Currency is not applicable (NA). * All active EIA symbols will update weekly (WA). Some figures from Table 1 are 4-week moving averages (4Wk MvAvg).
