In order to bring more concise and impactful market coverage to our customers, S&P Global Platts proposes the discontinuation of the West Hourly and California ISO Curtailment commentaries beginning May 18, 2020, for publications issued May 19, 2020.
Platts proposes to integrate assessment information from both commentaries into the West regional commentary. These changes will lead to one comprehensive West-specific commentary that details CAISO renewable curtailment trends, Mid-Columbia hourly assessment trends, and fundamentals that influence the day-ahead market.
The Mid-Columbia Hourly Indices and the System-Wide California ISO Renewable Generation Curtailment tables and graphs will be repositioned in the publication but remain unchanged.
