In order to bring more concise and relevant market coverage to our customers, S&P Global Platts proposes to redesign the four regional commentaries from Gas Daily, the four daily regional commentaries from Megawatt Daily, the two weekly commentaries from Megawatt Daily, and to discontinue the NYMEX Natural Gas Futures daily market commentary beginning June 15, 2020.
For the Gas Daily regional commentaries, Platts proposes to redesign the Northeast Gas Markets, Central Gas Markets, Southeast Gas Markets and West Gas Markets regional commentaries in Energy Trader from block text to a bullet-point format.
For the Megawatt Daily regional commentaries, Platts proposes to redesign the Northeast Power Markets, PJM/MISO Power Markets, Southeast Power Markets and West Power Markets regional commentaries in Megawatt Daily and Energy Trader from block text to a bullet-point format. Platts also proposes to redesign the REC and Emissions weekly commentaries in the same fashion as the daily regional commentaries.
The proposed redesign would continue to highlight key price drivers and market fundamentals, but in a more concise and easy to read manner.
In addition, Platts proposes to discontinue the daily NYMEX Natural Gas Futures commentary. NYMEX contract price movements will continue to be covered periodically in market-driven news stories, as well as in the existing daily 24-month pricing table.
The above proposed redesign and discontinuations would take effect in the June 15, 2020, Gas Daily, Megawatt Daily, and Energy Trader issues published on June 12, 2020.
