New petroleum product posted (rack) price symbols

Platts has created new symbols for petroleum rack (wholesale posted) prices in various dispatch categories.

Prices for these new symbols are provided by DTN. They represent supplier prices as well as daily and monthly averages for various petroleum products in different US locations. Prices are expressed in US cents per gallon.

Assessment (as-of) dates for supplier prices indicate when the prices were effective, local time at the rack location. Daily average prices update twice daily, Monday-Saturday, at 9:30-10am and 4:30-5pm US East Coast time; Platts Global Alert (realtime news) pages PGA1821-1869 reflect prices in effect at those times. Rack prices which display in Platts' Oilgram Price Report and US Marketscan services reflect prices in effect as of the afternoon update.
