In response to recent market activity, Platts has created a number of new petroleum product rack (wholesale) price symbols. Telvent/DTN is the source for Platts rack price data.
For a complete list of the new symbols, click on the following link, or copy and paste it into your web browser: http://plts.co/DTNracks0212 The new symbols include several for a new supplier, Motiva Enterprises LLC, Houston, TX. Motiva is a 50-50 joint venture between Shell Oil Company (the wholly owned American subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell) and Saudi Refining (controlled by Saudi Aramco).
The new symbols are indicated by 'Add' in column A on the first tab. The change ('Chg') entries on the first tab are previously-discontinued symbols which have been reactivated due to recent market activity.
The second tab lists symbols which have been discontinued due to inactivity. On both tabs, the current market data category and rack/city location for each symbol are indicated in columns B and J, respectively. The third tab lists the descriptions for all Platts rack data categories. If you have any comments or questions regarding this announcement, please contact your local Platts Customer Care representative, or email support@platts.com.
