Platts Lithium Spodumene FOB Australia assessment is on an FOB Australia basis, reflecting the physical spot market price for spodumene concentrate exports with mininum 6% lithium oxide content from Western Australian ports within 30 days of the date of publication.
S&P Global Commodity Insights launched the Lithium Spodumene 6% FOB Australia assessment on September 30, 2019. The assessments are timestamped to 4:30 pm Singapore time and are published on a daily frequency. Platts also publishes daily spodumene concentrate assessments for CIF China and FOB Brazil.
Platts spodumene concentrate assessments by S&P Global Commodity Insights are based on market information, including, but not limited to, firm bids and offers, and trades reported to the editor up to the close of business each day. Other qualities are considered, and may be normalized back to Platts base standard specifications, subject to prevailing market differentials.
