Saudi Arabia said Friday it would suspend all domestic passenger flights, trains, buses, and taxi services for two weeks starting Saturday morning, to prevent the further spread of coronavirus.
The kingdom had already begun banning international flights this week.
Cargo traffic would continue to be allowed, the Ministry of Interior said, in a report carried by the state-run Saudi Press Agency.
Saudi Arabia's aviation sector saw 771,829 flights carrying 99.86 million passengers through the kingdom's airports in 2018, according to the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation.
