Artificial Intelligence Lead, Weather and Climate
Mr. Anderson has worked in electricity market modeling for almost a decade; developing, calibrating, and tailoring commercial and bespoke simulation products for consulting and retainer work focused on long-term power sector outlooks. At IHS Markit, he focuses primarily on using his broad technical skill set to develop new ways to process large volumes of power market data to produce actionable insights for clients and develop new products for the North American market.
Mr. Anderson is the lead analyst responsible for developing the FastLMP locational price forecasting tool for the North American market. He is also responsible for developing and maintaining the North American Power Market dashboards on Connect.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics from Cornell University and a Masters of Science in Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from UT Austin. His academic research focuses on the efficacy of clustering algorithms for infrastructure placement in simulated networks.

Matthieu is an expert in sustainable finance with an international track record advising financial institutions, corporates and government organizations. At S&P Global Sustainable 1, he leads ESG strategy for banking and insurance segments. In that role, he interfaces between S&P Global’s clients, commercial and product teams to implement pioneering ESG and climate strategies.
Prior to joining S&P Global, Matthieu launched a commercial spinoff for the 2 Degrees Investing Initiative to provide asset-level data for climate-related financial analysis. Previously he worked for Circle Economy where he led a program on circular finance, for Ecofys (now part of Guidehouse consulting) where he specialized in climate policy, and for Coffey Geotechnics as an engineering geophysicist.
Matthieu holds Master’s degrees in Sustainable Development from Utrecht University and Geophysics from Imperial College London.

Maya Beyhan is Senior Director, ESG Specialist, Index Investment Strategy at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). The index investment strategy team provides research and commentary on the entire S&P DJI product set, including U.S. and global equities, commodities, fixed income and economic indices. Maya’s role has a specific focus on ESG and climate-based indices within this product set globally. Before joining S&P DJI, Maya was the lead equity index portfolio strategist at State Street Global Advisors in EMEA. In this role, she served clients with sophisticated ESG/climate portfolios. She previously worked as an investment strategist at Kempen Capital Management, covering institutional clients in the U.K. and the Netherlands. Maya holds a PhD in Quantum Chemistry from Vrije University in Amsterdam and a master’s degree in Theoretical Physics from Groningen University in the Netherlands.

Bob MacKnight is the Head of Product & Services at S&P Global Horizons, where he leads a team focused on building software, analytics, and data solutions to help companies embed sustainability metrics into their strategic planning, investment, and regulatory reporting activities. He serves on the Horizons Leadership Team and is responsible for developing and executing the strategy and vision for Horizons’s product and services offerings.
Bob previously led the Climate & Nature Risk product team in Horizons and has deep expertise in climate risk and the energy transition space. Prior to joining Horizons, he held leadership roles at S&P Global Energy focusing on the development of energy value chain emissions quantification and energy transition analytics solutions.
Earlier in his career he held roles leading consulting and research initiatives in the energy practices of IHS Markit and PFC Energy.

Global Climate Adaptation & Resilience Specialist
Paul Munday is a Director, Global Climate Adaptation & Resilience Specialist at S&P Global Ratings, where he leads and coordinates S&P Global Ratings’ research and application of climate adaptation and resilience analytics. He works at the interface between data and research, leveraging his expertise to help improve clarity of the credit impacts from climate risks.
Paul has over 10 years of experience in both the UK and abroad, providing advice to private and public sector clients across multiple sectors to help mainstream consideration of climate resilience into projects and programmes. Prior to joining S&P Global Ratings, Paul worked in climate risk consultancy.
He is a Chartered Scientist, Chartered Water and Environment Manager and certified expert in climate adaptation finance by the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

Aurian is a Senior Director in the Energy Transition practice at S&P Global, and is the global lead for critical minerals and metals consulting. With over twelve years of experience, he has led numerous consulting projects in the energy transition space, particularly within the metals and mining industry. Aurian has worked with major mining conglomerates, banks, governments, and energy companies. Aurian's expertise in critical minerals includes developing integrated supply, demand, and structural cost models, as well as creating decarbonization pathways for key commodities. He has also worked on emission reduction strategies and climate-related scenario analysis for mining producers. Notably, Aurian worked on Egyptian Government's Mining Masterplan between 2018 and 2021, supporting the Ministry of Petroleum in setting up its exploration auction round, its mining cadastre and bid evaluation criteria for the country's first ever mining auction.
Before joining S&P Global, Aurian was a Principal Consultant in Wood Mackenzie's Metals & mining consulting practice, focusing on iron ore, steel, and base metal. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the McGill University and an M.Sc. in Management from the London School of Economics.

Carlos Pascual leads the integration of geopolitics, energy, and markets for S&P Global Energy. He works with clients globally on addressing the geopolitical challenges of energy transition, security and competitiveness -- and the implications for energy justice. Mr. Pascual also leads the coordination of S&P Global Energy businesses in Latin America.
Mr. Pascual was previously US Ambassador to both Mexico and Ukraine and was Special Assistant to the US president for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia on the National Security Council. As the former US Energy Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs at the State Department, Mr. Pascual established and directed the Energy Resources Bureau and served as the Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State on energy issues.
Earlier, Mr. Pascual created the position of Coordinator for Reconstruction and Stabilization in the State Department, establishing the first civilian response capacity to conflicts. Mr. Pascual is a distinguished fellow at the Atlantic Council and was a resident fellow at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and a Master of Public Policy degree from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Terry leads the overall climate science and socioeconomic strategy of the Science Team. He co-founded The Climate Service, leading the development of the TCS software platform and methodology using his over 20 years of experience in advancing climate analysis for industry. Prior to S&P Global, Terry led LMI's climate program, established the Intelligent systems Laboratory at Gould Electronics, and was the former VP of Energy & Environment at Metron Aviation (an Airbus subsidiary) serving as a principal investigator for many NASA and FAA environmental studies.

Thomas Yagel is the Chief Operating and Product Officer for S&P Global Horizons. In this role, he is responsible for setting strategy and leading key initiatives across ESG Technology, Content, Research, Solutions and Product. Prior to taking the position with Horizons in 2021, Thomas led the Corporates business with in Market Intelligence for the previous six years.
Thomas has an extensive background in both finance and technology. He joined S&P Global in 2007. In addition to his time in the financial information services industry, Thomas spent the first decade of his career in software product development and consulting primarily for global telecommunication firm Alcatel, but also in a handful of startup business.
Thomas holds an M.B.A. with honors in finance and accounting from New York University Stern School of Business and a B.S. in physics from the University of Virginia
