Platts to launch new ICE HPL-New Minden Hub location and discontinue ICE HPL, East Texas Pool

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch a new ICE HPL-New Minden Hub daily and monthly natural gas index effective trade date Oct. 1 for flow date Oct. 2 in the daily market, and trade date Oct. 26 for Day 1 of November bidweek in the monthly market.

This launch aligns Platts with the Intercontinental Exchange's recent announcement to add the New Minden Hub trading location.

The new point will be as follows:

Platts will also discontinue ICE HPL, East Texas Pool daily and monthly natural gas index, effective trade date Oct. 1 for flow date Oct. 2 in the daily market, and for trade date Oct. 26 for Day 1 of November bidweek in the monthly market. Platts understands that ICE will be discontinuing the HPL, East Texas Pool trading location, and Platts will discontinue the ICE location pending an announcement from ICE.
