May 07, 2026
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has launched two weekly price assessments for granulated blast furnace slag, effective May 7, 2026.
GBFS is increasingly used as a supplementary cementitious material to partially replace clinker, supporting cost efficiencies and lower-carbon cement production. As demand for sustainable construction materials rises, trade flows for GBFS have expanded, particularly from key exporters such as China to Europe and Asia.
The two new assessments are: GBFS FOB China (ASBAO00) and a calculated net-forward for GBFS CFR NW Europe (ASBAP00).
